We seek a detail-oriented professional to join us in the following opportunity:
GROUP HEALTH UNDERWRITER
In this role, you will underwrite and price student accident and sickness products for colleges, K-12 and non-student youth groups.
To Qualify, You Must Have
- At least 3-5 years of Group Health or Special Risk underwriting experience
- An understanding of medical inflation/conditions, expense factors, benefit valuations, claim runoff and emerging experience
- Familiarity with medical terminology
- Exceptional negotiation, organizational and analytical skills
- Initiative
- Ability to work independently
- MS Word and Excel proficiency; Access knowledge a plus
- Some travel required
