We seek a detail-oriented professional to join us as an Underwriter to underwrite and price Special Risk programs, including accident products for college, student and non-student youth. Qualifying candidates must have at least 3-5 years of medical or Special Risk underwriting experience; understanding of medical inflation/conditions, expense factors, benefit valuations, claim runoff and emerging experience; exceptional negotiation, organizational and analytical skills; initiative and the ability to work independently; MS Word and Excel proficiency with Access knowledge a plus and experience with student products a plus and stop-loss underwriting helpful.
