What is it?
SeniorDent® is a program developed to promote comprehensive dental care in nursing facilities.
How does it work?
Dentists and dental hygienists travel to the nursing home to treat their patients, rather than the patient traveling to the dentist. And qualified Medicaid residents can receive the SeniorDent® dental plan at no additional cost to them or the nursing facility.
Why do I need it?
Good oral health leads to improved health, restored confidence and a better overall quality of life. Conversely, poor oral health, especially among older patients, can lead to serious health risks and complications such as poor eating habits, malnutrition, weight loss, insecurity regarding appearance and a compromised immune system. And if you’re running a nursing home, offering SeniorDent® is a valuable add-on service for your residents.
