Marianne Eterno

Vice President, Government Relations

Marianne Eterno came to GTL in 1995 as a compliance and government relations consultant and formally joined the company in 1997. In 2014, Ms. Eterno was promoted to her current role where she represents GTL in both the state and federal insurance areas and drives coalition development for the company.

She has spent nearly 30 years in the insurance industry and is active in a variety of industry associations including America’s Health Insurance Plans, where she chaired the Medigap and Supplemental Committee and the Student Plans Working Group, the American Council of Life Insurers, the Life Insurers Council and the Illinois Life Insurance Council. She chaired the Senior Issues, State, and Federal Affairs Committees for the Council for Affordable Health Insurance and served as its interim Executive Director from 2011 to 2014.
Ms. Eterno has represented GTL at the American Legislative Exchange Council (ALEC) for almost 20 years. After serving as the Private Sector Chair of the Health and Human Services Task Force for four years, she was appointed in 2014 to ALEC’s Private Enterprise Advisory Council and currently serves as its First Vice Chair.

She earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Rhetoric from the University of Illinois.
