As General Counsel and Corporate Secretary, Laura Derouin is responsible for all legal matters affecting GTL and its affiliate companies. Prior to GTL, Ms. Derouin spent more than 25 years serving in positions of increasing responsibility at a number of different companies in the insurance industry, including Trustmark Insurance Company, Columbian Mutual Life Insurance, and Gallagher Bassett Services. She began her career in private practice in Chicago.
Ms. Derouin earned her bachelor’s degree, cum laude, from University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, and her law degree from Georgetown University Law Center. She is a member of the state bar of Illinois.
