As General Counsel, Robert Baluk is responsible for all legal matters affecting GTL and its subsidiaries. In his role as Chief Legal Officer, Mr. Baluk provides legal counsel to the executive management of the company and oversees litigation.
He joined Guarantee Trust Life Insurance Company in November 1997 after more than 16 years at various other insurance companies including Allstate Life Insurance Company and Bankers Life and Casualty Company. In addition, he served on the senior management teams of both Washington National Insurance Company and Pioneer Financial Services.
Mr. Baluk earned a Bachelor of Business from Western Illinois University and is a graduate of the John Marshall Law School.
